Paladino has operated a small business, is a former reporter, and is a retired communications strategist.[1]

Paladino ran in the 2012 election for Colorado State Senate District 27. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 26, 2012. He was defeated by David Balmer (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]
