Palmer completed a voter guide profile for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:
“ | What are your top priorities for the district?
Top priorities are kids and finances. I have voted in the past against raises because they were too much and I felt we needed to be putting more resources in the classroom. In 2013 I voted against an increase in salary and a salary adjustment which added $2 million plus more. I was the only no vote. Why are you qualified to serve in this office? Because I will always vote what is best for our children, teachers and community even when it is not popular. I will not change my vote because the pressure is more than I want to withstand. I have proven that in the past, voting many times by myself. I always try to respect everyone. I know the issues. People need to look at voting records to see who is truthful.[4] |
