David Pierce is a former Democratic member of the New Hampshire State Senate, representing District 5 from 2012 to 2016.
Pierce did not seek re-election to the New Hampshire State Senate in 2016.
Pierce served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Grafton 9 from 2006 to 2012.

Elections for the New Hampshire State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 13, 2014. Incumbent David Pierce was unopposed in the Democratic primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[5][6]
2012
Pierce won election in the 2012 election for New Hampshire State Senate, District 5. Pierce defeated Sandy Harris in the September 11th Democratic primary election and defeated Joe Osgood (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[7][8]

On November 2, 2010, Pierce was re-elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives.[9][10]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Pierce won re-election by finishing second for the four-seat Grafton District 9 of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, receiving 5,538 votes behind Democrat Sharon Nordgren (5,656) and ahead of Democrats Bernard Benn (5,481) and Beatriz Pastor-Bodmer (5,418) and "Others" (95).[11]
Among Pierce's opponents, Nordgren raised $500 for her campaign, against $3,250 by Benn.[12]
