David Russ was born in California. He earned a bachelor's degree from Eastern Washington University in 1986. Russ' career experience includes working as an accountant, as a consultant, as a real estate broker, as a mayor, in multi-industry manufacturing, and in technology administration.^[1]^[2]

Truly the biggest issue we face in this country is the Federal Government's flagrant disregard for The Constitution For The United States of America. This document does not need to be re-written, it needs to be re-read. I promise to continually present legislation that will wittle away at these violations and return control to the States and the People. At the same time, I will introduce legislation focused on blocking future actions and decisions from the Executive Branch from violating the Constitution and removing your rights.
I am not "beholden" to anyone but God and You. Sure, it has been said before. Butnhave you heard it from someone who was not a multi-millionaire or currently high ranking official? I am honored to have been elected to be Mayor of Dundee by a near unanimous vote 5 times. There is no one that can "call in a favor" nor "threaten my elite status." That leaves me completely free to continuously do what is right for You and the Constitution. In the end, any such threats would be meaningless to be because I "Pleadge(d) my Life My Fortune and My Sacred Honor to The Constitution For The United States Of America" a very long time ago. Beyond that, I extend that Pleadge to anyone who will stand with me in that Pledge.
Regardless of who you choose to vote for, PLEASE become and stay active in your governance. We did not get where we are overnight. We got here by trusting humans (who are all flawed) with our destiny. This country was designed to endure because the people were woven into its governance. Getting the Federal Government out of "Public Policy". That is the purview of the States and local municipalities. I will do everything I can to reduce Federal influence in Public Policy and return control to the States and the People.

Power of The Purse and a theoretical Strong accountability to the people by virtue of two year terms.

Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?

Some. But a solid knowledge of the workings of the Constitution and a strong committment to uphold it are more important.

What do you perceive to be the United States’ greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

Soveriegnty.

Retaining our Rights and Freedom.

Fiscal Liquidity.

Do you believe that two years is the right term length for representatives?

That is what is supposed to make them "accountable to the people." Unfortunately, cronyism has partially destroyed that accountability.

What are your thoughts on term limits?

We probably need them.

Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking?

That truly depends on where the negotiation started from.

It is generally the strategy of Progressives to ask to take away all of your rights, or clearly violate the constitution. If compromise means "Only giving up half of your rights" or "Only violating the Constitution a little bit", then compromise is out of the question.

Once you give up half of your rights, they will come back next time asking to take the rest. You can only give up half of your rights a couple times before you start moving backwards.

The Constitution says that all bills for raising revenue must originate in the House. What role would this power play in your priorities if elected?

They must fit Constitutional guidelines.

How should the U.S. House use its investigative powers?

Broadly, as needed, without prejudice and with a committment to discovery and justice.

Immigration – We are the only nation on the planet that allows uncontrolled immigration. We have done so for far too long. In December 2023 we set new records every week for the number alien invaders crossing our border. It is time for an Immigration Moratorium, ending Entitlements for Persons guilty of illegally entering the country and removal of undocumented aliens.

The Border wall – Finish the wall. This will do a lot for both Immigration control and National Security.

Inflation – Most people do not understand that when the Federal Government pats itself on the back for “reducing inflation” that only means they are “slowing down the rate of the damage.” We have experienced.

National Debt – the solution here will not be painless, but it is simple. We can also cancel all debt China holds as restitution for COVID to reduce the pain.

Communism – Progressives and Neo-Progressives (and many Democrats) are basically communists. They are not misguided, confused, nor well intentioned. I believe in the good of humanity. But when someone takes this many “dangerous” or “ignorant/illogical” actions, it becomes impossible for me to believe they are well intentioned.

False History – Real American History is no longer taught in our schools instead they teach the rambling revisionist lies of the 1619 Project. We can not stop people from telling lies about our past in a public forum, but we can outlaw it in schools.

Removal of Ethics, Morality and God from government.

Loss of technological advantage/superiority in the world

Loss of manufacturing capacity and advantage

Minimum wage – the problem here is not minimum wage. It is “minimum employment.”

Mental Development of our Children – Risk Aversion, Destruction of Family, School Indoctrination

Abortion – As the Supreme Court Ruled, this is a State issue. The constitution does not authorize the Federal Government to participate in this type of activity.

Mutilation of Minors / Children who are sexually confused – Outlaw all sex change therapy and surgery for minors.

Experienced Business Leader committed to Your God Given Rights and Law & Order. Read between the lines of Candidate comments. Any Federal Candidate that says they support "Government Programs" to bring money to their district is saying that they intend to continue to increase the size of the Federal Bureaucracy and taxes. That is the only way they can do it! David has plans for various Bills that will make large cuts in Federal Bureaucracy, Waste and Overreach. One of the reasons Russ Is For "US" is that David recognizes a Congressman that is more focused on serving their district than serving all Citizens of the USA does the Citizens of their District a great disservice.
Community is the Heart and Soul of this Democratic Republic. Community was everything when this country was founded. It was both the support system and information source for all Citizens. David believes that we need to restore our communities and the felling of community among Citizens in order to recover from Socialist/Communist attacks on our Republic, Solve Social ills, Reel in our Educators, Reduce Government Infringement on your life and rebuild Patriotism.
Nearly everything that the Federal Government is currently involved in is beyond the scope of operations defined in our Constitution for its purview. Every dollar that the Federal Government gives out with rules attached is basically the enactment of an unconstitutional Federal Law. In almost all cases, these rules are created by Bureaucrats that answer to no one. They do not need to get authorization to enact these rules, and they have no accountability for anything resulting from the rules they make. YOUR RIGHTS - Infringement of your personal God Given Rights by the Federal Government (and others) must come to an end.

MILITARY READINESS - The USA needs to be the strongest nation on the planet and ready to defend itself at any moment. This is the only way to protect our Citizens against Socialism/Communism into the future.

BORDER SECURITY - The USA does have enemies around the world. There is no way to count how many of them have placed operatives in our country due to Open Border Policies. The Border must be secured & as many illegal invaders as possible removed.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SIZE/OVERREACH - Unlike other Candidates, David is not seeking to increase Federal Government Programs. David believes in you and your ability to guide local leaders to spend your money the way you want. PATRIOT SERVANT LEADER. KNOWLEDGE OF THE TIALS OF THE AVERAGE CITIZEN. INNOVATIVE LEADERSHIP. DRIVE TO PROTECT THIS COUNTRY AND ITS CITIZENS.

Elected Officials should always adhere to Quality Management Principles. That means to state what you intend to do and you document the process to prove have completed the task. If there are deviations from the original plan, all details of who, what, when, where and why those changes are documented and reported to stakeholders.

I will NEVER tell you one thing then blatantly do something else.

I am NOT Elite. I have been between jobs and between homes. I have struggled to make house payments and have had to drive a car beyond its ability to be reliable.

That is a complex question. On one hand, I believe that it is hard for someone to work through the systems that exist to accomplish their goals in only two years. On the other hand, it is extremely important for the Citizens to be able to change control of the House mid-term if the current people in office are not serving the will of the people.
