My name is Dave Schulz, and I am running for a seat on the Colorado Springs, district 12 school board. I served as an U.S. Army Infantry Officer in Afghanistan and Iraq, then as a U.S. Diplomat as a Foreign Area Officer assigned to U.S. Embassies in Latin America. I now balance my time as a Real Estate and Private Equity investor, while being a full-time dad to my girls and care taker for my wife. I continue to serve of leadership Boards for STEM education, Veteran organizations and non-profits.

I also had the unique opportunity to serve a White House Fellow, which is a non-partisan leadership program where you serve at the most senior levels of government and take those lessons back to your community.

I am blessed to be at a point in my career where I can invest in our future, and give back to my community.
  • Invest in our Future by ensuring our students are ready for the evolving tech-driven workforce.
  • Continue to make Cheyenne Mountain School District 12 number #1 in the state!
  • Work Hard - Have Fun - Help Others
A good school board member will make every effort to put his/her opinions aside, and represent the students & parents, as well as the district tax payers.
I would like to inspire the future generation to serve and give back. It is important to be engaged in your community and to be a productive member of society.
My very first job was in retail at a family-owned business, before I turned 16 and was able to work at the local McDonald's. I then enlisted in the Army at the age of 17.
I would love to be a fly on a wall- to be able to observe important decisions and see history as it is created. (Just don't be the fly that gets smacked!)
As a former member of our Armed Forces, student safety is a top concern. Students should feel safe at school, and parents should feel confident when they leave their kids at school.
Mental Health is important and should be addressed for those that request help.
Artificial Intelligence is already a key component in our daily lives, and it benefits students that know how to use it. The American workforce is at an inflection point, and it is our duty to ensure our students graduate with the skills necessary to join the evolving workforce.
I was selected to serve as a White House Fellow. This was an amazing opportunity to learn and grow as a leader.
