David Scott is a former Republican member of the South Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 21. In 2011, Scott was appointed to replace Kent Juhnke who was appointed to replace Cooper Garnos.

Scott ran in the 2012 election for South Dakota House of Representatives District 21. Scott ran unopposed in the Republican primary on June 5 and was defeated in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1]
