Candidate Connection

David Seiter completed Ballotpedia's Candidate Connection survey. The survey questions appear in bold and are followed by Seiter's responses.

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1. Make the Court efficient run to reverse the growing caseload. 2. Render timely decisions based on the law so outcomes are predictable. 3. Make the process easy to understand for first time and unrepresented litigants.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

1. I am passionate about the rule of law and making sure everyone is treated fairly. 2. I believe every litigant should be treated as a person and not just a case file. 3. I practice effective time management to reduce the time litigants and lawyers have to spend in court.

Ballotpedia biographical submission form

The candidate completed Ballotpedia's biographical information submission form:

What is your political philosophy?

I believe in hard work and finding efficiency to reduce waste in government. I have dedicated my life to public service whether with my service in the military or through private charities. Finally, I have significant experience both as a former judicial officer in high-volume courts and as a command and staff officer in the United States military.

Is there anything you would like to add?

This election is not about party politics; it is about putting the best qualified candidate in the position. The incumbent has been unable to manage her caseload and as a result the number of open cases has jumped from 4600 to over 16000 open cases even though she became full time in 2015 and the number of new cases coming into the court have dropped over the last three years. I have a plan to reverse that dangerous trend.[2]
