Biography

Sharpe grew up in Brunswick, Georgia. He graduated from Saint Leo University in 2004. He served in the United States Air Force from 1999 to 2005.[1]

I am the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of STAX Solutions, LLC; a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business serving the Department of Veterans' Affairs. I am a military veteran with over 12 years of federal government and military service, having served six years in the United States Air Force Security Forces and eight years in the U.S. Intelligence Community. I am an expert in senior government relations, community building, military veteran mental health, intelligence analysis and operations, business expansion and project enhancement and designs. I am also the founder of Companions for Heroes, a non-profit organization that serves active duty military/spouses, military veterans, law enforcement, first responders, Gold Star Families and their families that are suffering with the mental stress from their service to our country by pairing them with shelter dogs. Under my leadership, the charity has helped save over 3,500 Heroes and shelter dogs globally. I served in various overseas assignments while in the military. I am originally from Saint Simons Island, Georgia and have been a resident of Glynn County for 41 years where I currently reside with my two children, 8 year-old son, Dax and 4 year-old daughter, Stella Mabel, and I am a member of Community Church.

  • Provide better opportunities for our military veterans and their families
1. Modernize infrastructure to attract new business and capital investment by working with the Georgia Department of Transportation to have a clear 10-year plan for roads and bridges. I will work with the State's Economic Development Commissioner to determine where our district's areas of need are for attracting new industries. Additionally, I will work with our local Board of Commissioners to help implement the plan. I will work with the State Budget Directors to find funds and grants at the State and Federal level to upgrade our water and sewer and expand our natural gas lines.

2. Invest in education and workforce training to meet area employment needs. I will work with our local Economic Development Directors and local industry to determine the need of workforce development. I will work with our Board of Regents, Technical Colleges of Georgia and local Boards of Education to ensure our youth are being trained to take on the jobs available in Southeast, Georgia.

3. Provide better opportunities for our military veterans and their families in Southeast, Georgia by simplfying claims processing, career and financial planning, and develop peer support groups. I will work with our regional veterans groups to prioritize items that are needed in Southeast, Georgia. I will work with state and federal agenices to provide support in the areas of healthcare, job placement and financial services. Finally, I will help coordinate state agencies to produce pr
