David Steffen
David Steffen (Republican Party) is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing District 4. He assumed office on January 5, 2015. His current term ends on January 4, 2027.
Steffen (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Wisconsin State Assembly to represent District 4. He won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Steffen's professional experience includes working as the director of operations for Taxpayers Network, Inc., as director of external affairs for AT&T, and as the legislative coordinator for American Medical Security.[1]
Steffen was an aide for State Representative Mark Green in the 1990s. He also served on the Howard Village Board and the Brown County Board of Supervisors for eight years. In November 2014, Steffen was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly. He was re-elected to a second term in 2016. He has served as chair of the International Affairs and Commerce Committee.[2]

Elections for all 99 seats in the Wisconsin State Assembly took place in 2014. A primary election took place on August 12, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 2, 2014. Chris Plaunt was unopposed in the Democratic primary. David Steffen defeated Corrie Campbell and Jeff Goelz in the Republican primary. Plaunt faced Steffen in the general election.[7][8][9] Steffen defeated his Democratic opponent, Plaunt, in the general election.[10]
