David Tomassoni
David Tomassoni (independent) was a member of the Minnesota State Senate, representing District 6. He assumed office in 2001. He left office on August 11, 2022.
Tomassoni (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Minnesota State Senate to represent District 6. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Tomassoni served as the state Senate president pro tempore.[1]
Tomassoni served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1991 to 2001.
Tomassoni ran for re-election as a Democrat in 2020. On November 18, 2020, Tomassoni and Thomas Bakk announced that they were leaving the Democratic-Farmer-Labor caucus to form a new independent caucus.[2]
Tomassoni died on August 11, 2022.[3]
Biography
Tomassoni earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Denver. His professional experience included working as an insurance agent and playing professional hockey.
