|Before becoming a Deputy District Attorney I was a civil litigator handling a wide variety of civil actions including Environmental, Medical Malpractice, Construction Defect, Personal Injury and Insurance Coverage.
I obtained my Bachelor of Arts, with a double major in History and Political Science, from the University of California, Riverside. Thereafter, I obtained my Master of Arts in Political Theory also from UC Riverside. While there I interned for the Riverside District Attorney's Office. I obtained my Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. While there I also externed for the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office.
Unlike my opponent, I currently live, work and raise my children in San Bernardino County. As a resident and someone who actually grew up here, I am invested not only in its continued success but also in the issues that matter most to all of the residents. Chief among those is Public Safety to which I have dedicated my entire professional adult life.
I am a married father of three. My wife and I are both first generation Americans and bilingual. We attend church locally and enjoy volunteering at our local animal shelter.- Protecting Public Safety and holding individuals responsible for their crimes is paramount to having a productive and functional community.
- Victims of crime must have a voice in the courtroom so that all of the cycles of violence including domestic violence against women and children can be broken.
- Ensuring equality, fairness and justice for everyone that sets foot in the courtroom is the rule not the exception.
Having spent almost 5 years in the Family Violence Unit I am passionate about supporting and protecting the rights of women and the most vulnerable individuals in our society our children.
As a first generation American I will passionately ensure that all of our laws are applied equally and fairly to all those individuals that live in this great nation with patience and understanding.
Throughout December of 1989, we stayed glued to the television set for any news regarding the Romanian Revolution that began almost immediately after the fall of the Berlin Wall. At the time it was incredibly difficult to reach our loved ones still trapped in the country and we feared for them as the gruesome and terrifying images of revolution reached the American airwaves. Right then and there, at a very young age, my political identity was being shaped as I watched a corrupt and bitterly oppressive government attack and murder its own citizenry. I saw with my own eyes, images of people fighting and giving up their lives for rights we are so fortunate to possess here in the United States like freedom of speech, religion, due process, privacy, property and self determination.
