David Turfe
David Turfe is a judge of the Michigan 20th District Court.
Turfe ran for re-election for judge of the Michigan 20th District Court. He won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Biography
Turfe received his undergraduate degree from Wayne State University in 1987 and his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law in 1991.[1] Before he became a judge, Turfe worked as a sole practitioner with a focus as a trial attorney for fifteen years.[2]

Judges of the Michigan District Courts are each elected to six-year terms.[6] The elections for this court are nonpartisan contested elections. To serve on this court, a judge must be a qualified elector of the district, licensed to practice law in the state, under the age of 70, and have five years of experience practicing law.
