David W. Norton
David W. Norton was a judge for the Hamilton County General Sessions Court in Tennessee. He was appointed by the Hamilton County Commission on March 1, 2012 to serve as an interm, or temporary, judge. He replaced deceased Judge Robert L. Moon. Norton's term ended in August of 2012.[1][2]
Career
Prior to joining the General Sessions Court, Norton was a municipal court judge for the Soddy-Daisy Municipal Court in Tennessee.[3]
2012 election
Norton lost a bid to remain General Sessions Judge in Hamilton County to Gary Starnes on August 2, 2012. Norton battled a private illness during his time on the bench and during the campaign.[4]
