David W. Talley, Jr. is a judge for the Thirteenth Circuit Court in Arkansas. He was elected to the position on May 20, 2014, for a term effective January 1, 2015.[1][2]

Education

Talley earned his undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University. He received his J.D. from the Villanova University School of Law.[3]

Career

Prior to his 2014 election, Talley worked as an attorney in private practice since 1982. Talley also had worked as a deputy prosecuting attorney for 10 years and as a public defender in Columbia County for 15 years. In 2001, he was selected as a team member to help establish the Columbia County Drug Court. Talley also worked as an adjunct professor for the Southern Arkansas University College of Business for 12 years.[3][4]
