David W. Tipton is a judge for the Sullivan County General Sessions Court in Tennessee. He is also a judge for Division IV of the Sullivan County Juvenile Court.[1] He was appointed to the court in March 2014.[2] In August 2014, he was elected to a full term on the court, expiring on August 31, 2022.[3]

Tipton ran for re-election to the Sullivan County General Sessions Court.
Primary: He was successful in the Republican primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 48.2 percent of the vote. He competed against Brian Adington and Doug Vance.
General: He won without opposition in the general election on August 7, 2014. [4][3]
