David White is a Christian conservative who has proudly served the community as a solo-practicing rural Oklahoma nurse anesthesiologist at Hillcrest Pryor and Claremore for the past 15 years. Promoting access to quality healthcare in rural communities has been a core focus of his professional career. He owns White Octave, LLC, and is the Assistant Director for the University of Tulsa Nurse Anesthesia Program. David and his wife, MaryAnn, have six children and reside in Claremore. MaryAnn is a local physical therapist who serves on Main Street committees and runs Sailor Antiques with her mother, Brenda Reno. David and MaryAnn are visible and active participants in Rogers County events and fully support the prosperity of the community. They attend Adair First Baptist Church. As our State Rep., David's decisions will always be guided by his Christian faith.

REDUCING BUREAUCRACY and government overreach, with added emphasis on property rights

MENTAL HEALTH AND OPIOID CRISIS: Creative interventions to battle this very real epidemic.

ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE in rural communities and support for rural hospitals
Since early education, I have always been looked up to as a leader. As a young boy, I thought the reason was that I was taller than most kids my age, but later in life, I realized that it is a spiritual gift that God has bestowed upon me. I am particularly good at seeing the big picture and not getting tied up in the details of problems or situations. I would say that I am an exceptional problem-solver and a creative innovator in forging new paths. I have always been good at bringing people and teams together to accomplish a common goal. Being decisive, not divisive. Finally, I have been a public servant my entire life. From coaching youth sports to directing local ministry centers and caring for patients in times of need, my core values always win the day. As a highly educated elected official, I will bring all of these qualities and experiences with me into an arena that desperately needs rationality guided by genuine love for others.
My first job growing up was mowing lawns for people in and around my neighborhood. I did it during the summer months through high school. I really took pride in working hard, making money for myself, and serving others. I remember wanting to do my very best job, making the lines perfectly straight and curbs edged to perfection. It is the first time I can remember embodying the verse that has guided my life: "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets." -Matthew 7:12 (NIV)
I believe term limits are vital to the health and longevity of our state and federal governments. From a historical perspective, "career politicians" have eventually resulted in corrupt or complacent officials. New leadership and new ideas should be continually sought after for the benefit of innovation and better representation of evolving demographics. Long-serving politicians often build deep ties with lobbyists and special interest groups, opening the door for outside influences to dominate policy. Long story short, being an elected official is not a career; it is a voluntary donation of time and energy focused on moving the state and country forward.
