David Wilson (Connecticut)
David Wilson (Republican Party) was a member of the Connecticut House of Representatives, representing District 66. He assumed office in 2017. He left office on January 4, 2023.
Wilson (Republican Party, Independent Party) ran for re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives to represent District 66. He won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Biography
Representative Wilson graduated from Litchfield High School then went on to study Business Administration at Northwestern Connecticut Community College and Industry at The American College. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1967 to 1972 and was honorably discharged as an AM-2. Wilson started a private practice as an independent financial advisor in 1979 and has served as the Town of Litchfield’s treasurer since 1987. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Center Congregational Church, as a Volunteer Fireman with the East Litchfield Volunteer Fire Co, as treasurer of the Litchfield Volunteer Ambulance Company, and as President and Treasurer of the Litchfield-Morris Rotary Club, among other positions.
In 2016 Representative Wilson was first elected to represent District 66 in the Connecticut House of Representatives. He was re-elected to this seat in 2018. District 66 covers Bethlehem, Litchfield, Morris, Warren, and Woodbury. In the 2019 legislative session Rep. Wilson served as Ranking Member on the Aging Committee and as a sitting member on the Environment and the Public Safety Committees.[1]
