David Wylie
David Wylie (Republican Party) is running for election to the Denton County Commissioners Court to represent District 4 in Texas. Wylie is on the ballot in the Republican primary runoff on May 26, 2026. Wylie advanced from the Republican primary on March 3, 2026.
Wylie was a district-level delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention from Texas. Wylie was one of 48 delegates from Texas bound by state party rules to support Donald Trump at the convention.[1] As of July 13, 2016, Trump had approximately 1,542 delegates. The winner of the Republican nomination needed the support of 1,237 delegates. Trump formally won the nomination on July 19, 2016.
