A Davis Joint Unified School District parcel tax, Measure A ballot question was on the May 3, 2011 ballot for voters in the Davis Joint Unified School District in Yolo County, where it was approved.

Measure A levies an emergency special tax for two years of $200/year. The tax rate per dwelling unit for multi-family parcels will be $20/dwelling unit.

According to school superintendent Winfred Roberson, "[The] parcel tax passing will help us to maintain current staffing levels."[1]

A two-thirds (66.67%) vote was required for approval.

The question on the ballot:

MEASURE A: Recognizing cuts in state funding, shall the Davis Joint Unified School District be authorized to levy an emergency special tax for a period of two years not to exceed the annual rate of $20.00 per dwelling unit for multi-dwelling parcels and $200.00 per parcel for all other parcels, to fund essential school programs including core subjects, elective classes, reduced class sizes, counselors and school site safety?[4]
