Davonta Ferguson was raised here in the City of Wilson, North Carolina, growing up on Pear Tree Court. A proud graduate of James B. Hunt High School (Class of 2012) and alumnus of Sallie B. Howard School of the Arts and Education.

His journey of service began early as a Police Explorer with the Wilson Police Department under the guidance of the late Senior Officer Christopher Jones. This experience ignited a passion for law enforcement and community service that has defined his career.

Davonta graduated from the Police Academy at Wilson Community College in 2014 and has since served as a Police Officer, Special Police Officer with NC State Capitol Police, Campus Police Officer at Wayne Community College, and currently serves as a Police Officer with the Enfield Police Department. 2022 Master's in Organizational Leadership
