I am Davy Jones, a proud U.S. Army veteran and former reserve deputy running to represent District 90 in the West Virginia House of Delegates. When I look at the platform we’ve built at vote4davyjones.org, I strongly support the vision it represents because it reflects exactly who I am: a fierce defender of constitutional rights, individual liberties, and government accountability. I am unapologetically Pro-Gun and Pro-Life, and my time in uniform taught me that true freedom requires actively defending the rights of every citizen. That is why I am fighting to eliminate personal income and property taxes, end the prohibition of cannabis, and strip away qualified immunity for law enforcement. I believe in standing up for our community with practical, freedom-focused solutions—whether that means modernizing eminent domain to a strict "lease-only" mandate, ensuring the immediate restoration of voting rights upon release from correctional institutions, or opposing local law enforcement from acting as federal agents. This campaign is a direct extension of my core values, dedicated entirely to empowering the people of West Virginia and keeping the government out of our daily lives.
  • Economic Freedom and Property Rights As a Constitutional Conservative, I believe the fruits of your labor and the land you own belong to you, not the government. That is why I am fighting to entirely eliminate personal income and property taxes in West Virginia, and to modernize eminent domain to a strict "lease-only" mandate. True freedom means you shouldn't have to endlessly rent your own home from the state in the form of property taxes, and the government shouldn't have a blank check to permanently seize what you've built. By keeping money in the pockets of hardworking District 90 families and securing our property rights, we empower our community to thrive independently of government overreach.
  • Government Accountability and Justice Reform My time in uniform as a U.S. Army veteran and a former reserve deputy taught me that authority must always be balanced with strict accountability. I strongly support eliminating qualified immunity for law enforcement because no one should be above the Constitution they are sworn to uphold. Alongside this, I believe in practical, liberty-focused justice reforms—like ending the failed prohibition of cannabis and ensuring the immediate restoration of voting rights upon release from correctional institutions. When a citizen has fully paid their debt to society, their fundamental rights must be restored, ensuring our system focuses on true rehabilitation and liberty rather than perpetual punishment
  • Constitutional Liberties and Election Integrity I am unapologetically Pro-Gun and Pro-Life, and I will fiercely defend the unalienable rights protected by our Constitution. The government's primary role is to protect your liberties, not to dilute them or act as a proxy for federal overreach. That is exactly why I oppose local law enforcement being utilized to assist federal agencies like ICE, and why I stand firmly against same-day voter registration to protect the undeniable integrity of our local elections. Every policy we are fighting for at vote4davyjones.org is rooted in a single, uncompromising principle: maximizing your individual liberty and keeping the government strictly within its constitutional limits.
I am personally passionate about: drastically reducing government overreach and returning true, uncompromising liberty to the people of West Virginia. My core focus is fighting for total economic freedom by working to eliminate personal income and property taxes, while modernizing eminent domain to a strict "lease-only" mandate to fiercely protect our property rights. Equally important is my deep commitment to constitutional justice and accountability; I am actively fighting to eliminate qualified immunity for law enforcement, end the prohibition of cannabis, and ensure the immediate restoration of voting rights upon release
