Levey was a 2014 Democratic candidate for District 24 of the Michigan State Senate.[1]

Elections for the Michigan State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 5, 2014, and a general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 22, 2014. Dawn Levey was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Rick Jones was unopposed in the Republican primary. Jones defeated Levey in the general election.[4][5][6][7]
