Jimenez-Salta received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University and her J.D. degree from Temple University School of Law.[2]

Career

Jimenez-Salta began her career in 1989 as an associate of the firm of Borah, Goldstein, Altschuler & Schwartz, P.C. She became a partner of this firm in 1998. The following year, she was appointed judge of the New York City Housing Court. She was reappointed to this position in 2004 and served there until her election to the New York City Civil Court in late 2007. She took office on the civil court in 2008, serving in Kings County until 2014, when she joined the supreme court.[2]

2013 election

Jimenez-Salta ran for election to the 2nd Judicial District Supreme Court. General: She was elected in the general election on November 5, 2013, with 18.1 percent of the vote. Ross Brady, Kevin A. Finnegan, Bernard Graham, Desmond Green, Mendy Mirocznik, Ilan Schoenberger, Kenneth Sherman and Betty J. Williams were also on the ballot, competing for five open seats.[3][4][5]
