Dean Schrempp (Democratic Party) was a member of the South Dakota House of Representatives, representing District 28A. He assumed office in 2009. He left office in 2017.

Schrempp (Democratic Party) ran for election to the South Dakota State Senate to represent District 28. He lost in the general election on November 5, 2024.

Biography

Schrempp earned his pilot's license in 1975. His professional experience includes working as the president of a medical clinic, a farmer and rancher, the manager of the Eagle Butte Airport, and the president of Ceney Bond.

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 25, 2014. Incumbent Dean Schrempp defeaed Thomas Van Norman in the Democratic primary for District 28A. Schrempp was unopposed in the general election. J. Sam Marty defeated Calvin Geis and Ron Slaba in the Republican primary for District 28B. Marty was unopposed in the general election.[5][6][7]
