Campaign themes

2016

Duncan's website highlighted the following campaign themes:[1]

As your Representative, I will demand accountability from your government. I will not stand aside and allow the corporate “fat cats” to control this state from behind the scenes, while the working class families fight to stay afloat. I will work day in and day out to close corporate loopholes which are destroying this economy. By accomplishing this, we will have more funds for education creating a brighter future for all of Iowa. Our children and grandchildren are our future. Our government needs to invest in our futures, instead of investing in the interests of corporate hot shots. Other key issues I feel very passionate about include: Funding for Iowa’s most vulnerable citizens through making mental health resources available, Medicare/Medicaid oversight, campaign finance reform, and term limits. We need to take Iowa back from special interest groups, not set us back.[2]
