Deb Shaughnessy
Deb Shaughnessy was a Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives, representing District 71 from 2011 to 2013.
Shaughnessy is a former mayor of Charlotte, Michigan. She served as mayor from 2005-2009. Deb has also worked as a treasury clerk, staff writer for Charlotte Community Newspapers, and executive director of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. She also served as a legislative aide from January 1995 to December 2004.
Shaughnessy graduated from Lansing Community College with a general Associates Degree in Public relations in 2007.

Shaughnessy ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Michigan House of Representatives District 71. She was unopposed in the August 7 Republican primary and was defeated by Theresa Abed (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2]
2010
Shaughnessy won election to the District 71 seat in 2010. Shee defeated Cheryl Haddock, Laurie Raines and Britt Slocum in the August 3 Republican primary. She defeated Theresa Abed (D) in the general election on November 2, 2010.
