Funding
At the time of this election, the Los Angeles Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk did not publish school board candidate campaign finance reports online. Ballotpedia staffers requested this information, but the only free method of viewing the files was at their office.
The Los Angeles Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk targeted the end of 2018 to make school board candidate campaign finance reports available online for free. From that point forward, Ballotpedia began including campaign finance data for Los Angeles County school board candidates.[5][6][7]
The first campaign finance reporting deadline was September 24, 2015, and the second one was October 22, 2015. If candidates raised or spent more than $1,000 from a single source, including their own funds, between August 5, 2015, and November 2, 2015, they had to file a campaign finance report within 24 hours.[8]
If you have any information regarding the campaign finance disclosures in this race, please contact the school board elections team at editor@ballotpedia.org.

Cuadros highlighted the following platform on her campaign website:
“ | Dear Neighbor,
I am seeking your support to fulfill my promise of making Bellflower Unified School District the best in California. Over my first term, I have put actions behind my words to build better schools for students, teachers, parents and our community. Under my leadership, I helped revitalize our schools by providing more choices and opportunities in the areas of technology, personalized learning, parental involvement and career readiness. In support of greater transparency and in an effort to increase parent engagement, I have worked to increase the availability of information by holding community "Coffee with Cuadros" events. We have increased District-wide communication via news releases, and added more content to our District website and School News. I will continue to seek more with the goal of providing more opportunities for parent and community involvement. If re-elected, I promise to build on our achievements to support our standard of excellence and successful learning. We must continue to support our outstanding teachers, principals, staff and volunteers. These investments will create pathways to success for our students and make them college and career ready in a 21st century economy. School District Accomplishments:
