Debbie J. Darden
Debbie J. Darden was a candidate for the Trustee Area 1 seat on the Fresno Unified School District Board of Education in California. She ran against one incumbent and two fellow candidates in the general election on November 4, 2014.[1] Debbie J. Darden lost the general election on November 4, 2014.
Biography
Darden is a graduate of the Fresno Unified School District. She works as an administrator for the Rich Product Corporation. Darden has served as chairwoman of the Golden Westside Planning Committee and was part of the push to get the new Gaston Middle School built in the southwest area of the district, which had gone without one for decades.[2]

Four seats on the Fresno Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. In the Trustee Area 1 race, incumbent Cal Johnson faced three challengers, Debbie J. Darden, Christiansen L. Flemming and Charles Watkins "Muhammad", and won his bid for re-election. Trustee Area 3 incumbent Valerie Florentino Davis ran against one challenger, Esmeralda Diaz. Davis also won her bid for re-election. In Trustee Area 4, incumbent Christopher de la Cerda ran unopposed and won re-election by default. No incumbents filed to run for the Trustee Area 7 seat, leaving the race to candidates Brooke Ashjian and Ruben V. Martinez. Ashjian defeated Martinez to win a seat on the board.
