Debbie Russell (Green Party) was a member of the Del Valle Independent School District in Texas, representing District 2. Russell left office in 2019.

Russell (Green Party) ran for re-election to the Del Valle Independent School District to represent District 2 in Texas. Russell won in the general election on November 8, 2016.

Russell resigned from the board in July 2019 after moving outside the school district.[1]

Russell was also a candidate for county sheriff of Travis County, Texas. Russell was defeated in the general election on November 8, 2016.

District 1 incumbent Ann Heuberger, District 2 incumbent Debbie Russell, District 4 incumbent Richard Rendon, and District 6 incumbent Rebecca Birch won re-election without opposition.[2]

Travis County held elections for county commission, all five constables, county attorney, sheriff, county tax assessor-collector, and the Austin Community College District Board of Trustees in 2016. The general election was held on November 8, 2016. A primary election was held on March 1, 2016, and a primary runoff took place on May 24, 2016. The filing deadline for those wishing to run in this election was December 14, 2015.[3] Sally Hernandez defeated Joe Martinez, Eric Guerra, and Debbie Russell in the Travis County sheriff general election.[4]
