Deborah A. Malphrus
Deborah A. Malphrus is a family court judge for the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit in South Carolina.[1] She was elected to the court by the South Carolina General Assembly on May 5, 2011.[2][3] She was re-elected in February 2019.[4]
Education
Malphrus received her B.S. in nursing from the University of South Carolina in 1987 and her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1990.[2]
Career
After law school, Malphrus clerked for the late Honorable Carol Connor of the South Carolina Court of Appeals and worked as an assistant solicitor for the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit. She then entered into private practice, first with her brother and father, and later at the firm of Moss, Kuhn & Fleming.[2]
