Deborah Burgin
Deborah Burgin was a 2012 candidate for Superior Court Judge of District 29A (Eighth Division of the Superior Court) in North Carolina.[1]
Education
Burgin received her B.S. degree from Gardner Webb University, her M.Ed. degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and her J.D. degree from Wake Forest University Law School.[2]
Career
Burgin worked as an attorney in private practice from 1988 to 1992. She then served on the 29th Judicial District Court until 2000. Since then, she has worked as an attorney.[2]

2012 election
Burgin ran for election to the Superior Court seat of retiring Judge Laura J. Bridges on November 6, 2012. She was defeated by Judge J. Thomas Davis after receiving 44.4 percent of the vote. Prior to that, she received 36.1 percent of the vote in the primary.[3][4][5][6]
