Deborah J. Gambrell-Chambers is a chancellor of the 10th Chancery District in Mississippi. She was appointed by Governor Haley Barbour on January 11, 2011, to replace James H. C. Thomas, Jr., who had recently won re-election to the court despite his death a month prior.[1][2] She was re-elected on November 4, 2014, for a term that begins in 2015 and expires in 2018.[3][4]

Education

Gambrell received an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1972. She went on to earn her J.D. from the Mississippi College School of Law in 1978.[1]
