Deborah K. Sundquist is a Minnesota Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals judge.[1] She was appointed by Gov. Mark Dayton (D) on February 6, 2015. Gov. Tim Walz (D) reappointed Sundquist to a six-year term on January 29, 2021.[2][3]

Education

Sundquist earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota in 1985 and her J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law in 1988.[1]

Career

Before her appointment to the Minnesota Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals, Sundquist represented employers and insurers in workers' compensation litigation for the law firms of Aafedt, Forde, Gray, Monson & Hager, P.A., and Meagher Geer. She practiced in the area of workers' compensation for 26 years. Sundquist has been a co-chair of the Workers’ Compensation Committee for the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association and previously served as a JAG Officer for the U.S. Army Reserve.[1][2]
