Deborah Ruggiero
Deborah Ruggiero (Democratic Party) was a member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives, representing District 74. She assumed office in 2009. She left office on January 3, 2023.
Ruggiero (Democratic Party) ran for election for Lieutenant Governor of Rhode Island. She lost in the Democratic primary on September 13, 2022.
Ruggiero also ran for re-election to the Rhode Island House of Representatives to represent District 74. She did not appear on the ballot for the Democratic primary on September 13, 2022.
Ruggiero currently serves as deputy majority leader.
Biography
Ruggiero earned her B.A. from Boston College. Her professional experience includes working as Director of Community Development Citadel Radio and as an adjunct faculty member at Providence College.[1]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 25, 2014. Ruggiero won re-election in the 2012 election for Rhode Island House of Representatives District 74. Ruggiero was unopposed in the September 11 Democratic primary and defeated Anthony Mastrostefano in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[9][10][11]

Ruggiero won re-election to the 74th District seat in 2010. She was unopposed in the September 14 Democratic primary and defeated Republican Anthony Mastrostefano and independent Daniel Capuano in the general election on November 2, 2010.[12][13]
