Debra Gunkel

Debra Gunkel was the judge on the Baca County Court in Colorado.[1] She was appointed by former Governor Bill Ritter in 2010 and was retained by voters in 2014.[2] She retired on May 15, 2021, after being censured by the Colorado Supreme Court.[3]

Gunkel was retained to the Baca County Court, Colorado with 76.1 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [4]

Education
Gunkel received a bachelor's degree from Colorado College, an M.B.A. from Southwestern University, an LL.M. from Boston University, and a J.D. from the University of Denver.[2]
Career
Gunkel has worked in the 16th Judicial District's Attorney's Office, and in private practice.[2]
