Debra Smith Wright was a 2016 Democratic candidate for District 22 of the Florida State Senate.

Smith Wright represented District 6 on the Polk County School Board in Florida. She was first elected to the office in the November 2, 2010, runoff election. She was defeated in her re-election bid by challenger Lynn Wilson in the general election on August 26, 2014.
