2015

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 30, 2015.[7] Since the general assembly uses multi-member districts, the top two candidates from each party in the primaries advanced to the general election. Jeanne Cullinane and Thomas Herman were bracketed together and were unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Amy Handlin and incumbent Declan O'Scanlon, Jr. were bracketed together and were unopposed in the Republican primary. Handlin and O'Scanlon defeated Cullinane, Herman and Joshua Leinsdorf (Jobs, Sidewalks, Transit) in the general election.[8][9][10][11][12]
2013

He and incumbent Amy Handlin (R) defeated Allison Friedman (D), Matthew Morehead (D), and Karen Anne Zaletel (G) in the general election, which took place on November 5, 2013.[13][14][15][16]
2011
O'Scanlon won re-election in 2011 to District 13 instead of District 12 due to Redistricting. O'Scanlon and incumbent Amy Handlin ran unopposed in the June 7 Republican primary. Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
