Defending Wisconsin PAC was a PAC dedicated to removing Scott Walker from office in 2012.[1] Under the Federal Election Campaign Act, an organization becomes a "political committee" by receiving contributions or making expenditures in excess of $1,000 for the purpose of influencing a federal election.

Background

Defending Wisconsin PAC was founded in 2011. According GazetteXtra in 2014, Jeremy Ryan, who was challenging Rep. Paul Ryan (R) for his re-election to Congress, was the executive director of Defending Wisconsin PAC.[2] The PAC's Twitter account's last tweet occurred in December 2014, while the PAC's last Facebook post was in August 2014.[1][3]

According to the Wisconsin Campaign Finance Information System, the PAC's last submission was in February 2015.[4]
