Defiance City Term Limit Amendment, 2009
Defiance City Term Limit Amendment was on the November 3, 2009 ballot measures in Ohio in Defiance County for voters in the City of Defiance.
The amendment proposed eliminating the current term limit for council members and making the term limit uniform with current charter provisions for members on city boards and commissions. According to the charter, currently "no individual would be allowed to serve more than two (2) consecutive three (3) year terms unless the initial members whose term expires after the first year are reappointed."[1]
