The Delaware River Basin Compact is an interstate compact among Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The compact established a commission to oversee regulations regarding the Delaware River area. The compact has congressional consent and also includes the federal government as a member of the compact.[1]

Governance

The compact created the Delaware River Basin Commission and granted it the "force of law to oversee a unified approach to managing [the] river system without regard to political boundaries."[2]

Text of the compact

The legislature of each member state passes the laws with certain modifications, but the core of the legislation remains the same.
