Delia Garza (Democratic Party) is the Travis County Attorney in Texas. Garza assumed office on January 1, 2021. Garza's current term ends on December 31, 2028.

Garza holds a B.S. in journalism from Texas A&M University and a J.D. from Gonzaga University.[1]

From 2011 to 2014, Garza worked as an assistant attorney general. Her professional experience also includes work as a law clerk for the Texas Civil Rights Project and as a firefighter with the Austin Fire Department.[1]

As of her run for re-election in 2016, Garza was the chair of the Austin City Council's Public Utilities and Regional Affordability Committees and the vice-chair of the Open Space, Environment & Sustainability Committee. She was also a member of the city council's Austin Energy Utility Oversight, Health and Human Services, and Mobility Committees and of the intergovernmental Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization and Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority Committees.[2]

Garza was the first Latina elected to the Austin City Council.[12] She and her husband, Ramiro Martinez Jr., have a daughter, Lourdes.[13]
