Deltonya Burns
Deltonya Burns (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Michigan House of Representatives to represent District 34. Burns lost in the Democratic primary on August 4, 2020.
Burns was disqualified from the race because she did not check boxes on an affidavit confirming her citizenship. Burns challenged the disqualification in Genesee Circuit Court. On June 4, 2020, Judge Joseph Farah ruled that Burns could amend her affidavit. As of June 11, 2020, Burns was listed as a qualified candidate by the Michigan Secretary of State.[1][2][3]
