The New York State Democratic Party is the New York political party affiliate of the national Democratic Party. The group is headquartered in New York, New York.
The party is composed of a governing body called the State Committee and a chairman is elected to lead.[1]
Party chair
Jay S. Jacobs was elected to a four-year term as chairman in 2019. He previously served as the chairman from 2009-2012.[2]
Jacobs' professional experience includes being the CEO of the TLC Family of Camps & Inns. He also served on the New York State Camp Health and Safety Council and as the President of the New York State Camp Directors Association among other positions.[2]
