Denise Andrews
Denise Andrews was a 2016 Democratic candidate for the Second Franklin District of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Andrews withdrew from the race on September 11, 2016, announcing that she was instead accepting an offer for a position in the private sector.[1]
Andrews is a former Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, representing the Second Franklin district from 2010 to 2015.
Biography
Andrews earned her B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and her MBA in international business from Xavier University. Her professional experience includes working as an international consultant and as the COO and managing partner of Global Business Development at Legacy Unlimited in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Elections for the Massachusetts House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on September 9, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Incumbent Denise Andrews was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Susannah Whipps Lee defeated Karen Anderson in the Republican primary. Andrews was defeated by Lee in the general election.[7]

2012
Andrews won re-election in the 2012 election for Massachusetts House of Representatives Second Franklin District. Andrews defeated Rebecca Bialecki, Genevieve Fraser, and Jim White in the September 6 Democratic primary and defeated Susannah Lee (R) and Richard F. Schober, Jr. (I) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[8]
2010
Franklin won election to the Second Franklin seat in 2010. She defeated Lee Chauvette, Martin McGuane, David Roulston and Roxann Wedegartner in the September 14 Democratic primary. She defeated Steven Adam (R) and Genevieve Fraser (I) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[9]
