Biography

Bentley earned degrees from Fisk University and Vanderbilt Law School. Her professional experience includes working as executive director of Tennessee Youth Courts, a nonprofit focused on juvenile delinquency prevention and intervention. She has also been involved with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Tennessee State Guard, Community Outreach Partnership with Vanderbilt, the Advisory Board for Post Secondary Education, Metro Nashville Public Schools, and the Tennessee Bar Association.[1]
