Ohio: Yesterday, Governor John Kasich announced the appointment of Dennis J. Adkins to the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas. Adkins follows Michael T. Hall and will complete his unexpired term if selected by voters in the 2012 general election.[1]

Of the appointment, Adkins said, "I am honored and humbled by my appointment to be a Judge of the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court. The Court is greatly respected by our local bar association, and I am proud to become a member of this Court. I will strive to carry on the fine tradition of the Court."[1]

Adkins has been an attorney in private practice since 1991 and also has served as an acting judge on the Kettering Municipal Court.[1]
