Dennis Avery (b. September 28, 1946) was a Democratic member of the Indiana House of Representatives. He represented the 75th District from 1974-2010.

Avery is Coordinator of Adult Marketing at the University of Southern Indiana. He has been a market research consultant, real estate broker, and OER Specialist.

He is a member of the Community Advisory Board of Roberts Stadium, Haubstadt Chamber of Commerce, Community Advisory Board of Indiana University School of Medicine, Southwestern Indiana Master Gardeners Association, Sustainable Communities Board, Beacon Group Board, Indiana University School of Medicine Advisory Board, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars 1114.[1]

Avery did not run for re-election in 2010.[2]

2008

On November 4, 2008, Democrat Dennis Avery won re-election to the Indiana House of Representatives District 75 receiving 13,274 votes, ahead of Republican J.D. Strouth who received 10,496 votes.[3]
