Dennis C. Mendiola (Republican Party) is the Lieutenant Governor of the Northern Mariana Islands. He assumed office on July 24, 2025.
Mendiola (Republican Party) ran for election to the Northern Mariana Islands Senate to represent District 1. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
On July 24, 2025, Mendiola was elevated to Lieutenant Governor of the Northern Mariana Islands, following the death of former Governor of the Northern Mariana Islands Arnold I. Palacios, and the subsequent elevation of former lieutenant governor David Apatang to the governorship.[1]
Biography
Dennis C. Mendiola graduated from Simon Sanchez High School in 1996.[2] Mendiola served as the commissioner of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services.[3]
