Dennis Cochran was a 2015 Democratic candidate for District 105 of the Mississippi House of Representatives.
Cochran was a 2011 Democratic candidate for District 43 of the Mississippi State Senate. He lost in the primary election to James Walley.

Elections for the Mississippi House of Representatives took place in 2015. A primary election was held on August 4, 2015. The general election took place on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[1] Dennis Cochran was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Roun McNeal was unopposed in the Republican primary. McNeal defeated Cochran in the general election.

Cochran ran in the 2011 election for Mississippi Senate District 43. He lost to James Walley in the primary on August 2, 2011. Phillip Gandy and Connie Wilkerson defeated Robert Hendry and Roun McNeal in the Republican primary; Gandy and Wilkerson will face off in a primary runoff election on August 23, 2011. James Snyder is running as an Independent as well. The general election took place on November 8, 2011.[2]
