Dennis J. Adkins is a judge on the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas in Dayton, Ohio. He was appointed to the court by Governor John Kasich and assumed office on June 6, 2011. Adkins was elected to the court in November 2012 to serve out the remainder of an unexpired term which ends on June 30, 2015.[1][2] Adkins ran for re-election to the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas in 2014, however, winning a new term expiring on June 30, 2021.[3].

Adkins ran for re-election to the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas.
General: He defeated Susan D. Solle in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 54.9 percent of the vote. [4] 

2012

Adkins was elected to the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas after running unopposed in the general election November 6, 2012.[5][6]

Education

Adkins received his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and his J.D. from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.[1]

Career

Adkins has been an attorney in private practice since 1991. He has served as an acting judge for the Kettering Municipal Court since 1993 and a special prosecutor in several cities.[1]
